Good Skills
I have done days 1 and 2, I’ve found it brilliant and learnt great skills to enable me to fix and maintain my bikes so they run better and this will save me money in the long run. Day 1 taught us how to check over and service the bike, I’d dabbled with this stuff before but feel like I really understand what to do, why, in what order and key things to look out for. I now feel confident to do these things properly my self. The course was a great mix of listening to information and putting things into practice, some of which encouraged you to work things out for yourself. It’s so much better than trying to learn from the Internet!! Day 2 went into a lot more detail which was when I found more problems with my bike so it’s great that I now know how to service and replace hubs, bearings, spokes etc. I highly recommend and will be back to do more work at the ladies night and bike kitchen 🙂
Brilliant.
I have just done the one day intensive course. I felt I had to leave a review, cos these guys were brilliant and deserve a thumbs up.I am cycling John O Groats to Landsend in July.I now have the confidence to tackle quite a few obstacles if they get in the way.Its a hands on course with very clear instructions.A very informative and enjoyable day.I highly recommend this course.Cheers Henry and Matthew.
Intensive course, day 1
Brilliant. Bought as a present, and very kindly rescheduled after illness prevented my attendance as initially planned. Excellent instructors (Matt and Julien) were both knowledgeable and very open. Really good comprehensive and clear explanations, all backed up with practical work. I can finally adjust gears after nearly 30 years of trying :)Will definitely be looking at Day 2.
Great course
Day 1 course covered everything I hoped it would and at the right speed for me to take all the information on board. Really enjoyed it

Day 1 of the Intensive Course was brilliant and by far the best bike maintenance course I’ve ever been on. Mike & Julien who taught the course were really knowledgeable, helpful and good fun which made it a really enjoyable day. The course is really well structured, comprehensively covering the topics and allowing time for bite-sized explanation and demonstration followed by practicing the techniques on your own bike. Having 2 instructors to 5 students meant that there was always help and any questions or issues could be answered or resolved. The workshop is really well set up, so as well as having access to bike stands and all the necessary tools without needing to share there was a plethora of real examples of different bike bits so you could see and feel what new/partially worn/broken looked and felt like. Having done several bike courses in the past that have been rushed or missed out crucial details, I now feel like I could happily do any of the repairs/replacements that were covered. Very empowering and can’t recommend this course enough! Can’t wait for Day 2! Also a massive thank you to Mike & Julien… you guys are awesome!
