A very worthwhile and practical course.
I was lucky to attend the first post-Pandemic Day 1 course led by Rob. An excellent practical and informative day delivered by skilled, motivational and patient instructors. Good also, to meet a broad range of fellow attendees in our small group and to see our instructors helping apply maintenance and service theories to a wide variety of bike types and ages. (Coffee, biscuits and a seating area for lunch also most welcome!)
Great course
Day 1 course; covered a lot of aspects of bike maintenance, brakes, gears, tyres, etc; with real depth of knowledge from the instructors. The instructors adapted the course to be relevant to the needs of different people / bikes on the day. Would recommend to anyone who rides a bike.
Excellent teaching
The teaching on the course was very clear and the instructors made sure we really understood what we were doing. Fantastic!
Really useful and surprisingly good fun!
I did day 1 of the intensive maintenance course, led by Rob and Shona and I had such a great day. I started knowing nothing about bike maintenance beyond changing a tyre and came away feeling far better equipped to deal with minor issues and know how to spot major ones. The day had such a lovely friendly cheerful, supportive atmosphere and the time just flew by. I thought I would find it very useful, I didn’t expect to have so much fun. I can’t recommend it enough.
Excellent course
You don’t need any prior knowledge of bikes, and they teach you how to tune gears, change cables, sort brakes, fix a broken chain and just how to generally care for your bike. I no longer need to take my bike in for a service or every time I hear a funny noise from the gears!
