Covid-19 and BBP

Given the rapidly escalating public health crisis, BBP has decided to cancel all group activities until further notice. This includes Womxn’s Night, Young Womxn’s Build-a-Bike, Volunteer Nights, Fix-a-Bike, Earn-a-Bike, Bike Kitchen, Social Cycle, and After School Bikes. This also includes volunteer training and maintenance courses. Anyone who is booked in for any of these programmes will receive direct communication about what this means for you. If you have any concerns please don’t hesitate to get in touch hello@thebristolbikeproject.org
For the time being, our shop will remain open for services, repairs and bike sales. Our staff are taking extra measures to ensure the safety of themselves and anyone who enters the shop. We ask that everyone reads and respects the notices posted on the door.
We are of course concerned about the impact this will have on our staff, volunteers and wider community and we are working as quickly as we can to develop a strategy to mitigate any negative impacts. We are also looking at how we can redirect our collective volunteer power to support the vulnerable and isolated during these challenging times, connecting with groups such as Bristol Covid-19 Mutual Aid.
This is a really challenging time for small community businesses and co-ops like ours. Please consider supporting us in any way you can, for example by becoming a supporter, and look out for upcoming online sales.
Thanks for your understanding, and stay safe.
