The Bristol Bike Project will be closed from Saturday 27th June – Sunday 12th July inclusive!
We’ve been working our little socks off and spannering our hearts out to help the Bristol community get and about on two wheels since the start of lockdown. It’s been wonderful, exhausting, character-building, rewarding and pure blummin’ awesome! But… we need ourselves a break. So we’re shutting up shop and shutting down laptops for a couple of weeks while we replenish our energy reserves and take stock of the past 3 months.
We won’t be answering any emails or phone calls, or checking social media during this time. We’ll get back to any enquiries once we’re back, and please bear with us if it takes a little while to respond during that first week back.
We’ll see you on the other side!
Love, peace & bicycle grease
p.s. While we’re gone, here’s a few joyous cycle stats to warm your hearts…
Since the start of lockdown we’ve…
? rehomed 37 bikes with people who really need them and repaired a further 20 for free through our Earn-a-Bike schemes, supporting people to be independently mobile through this challenging time.
? Supported well over 200 key workers with repairs and discounts on refurbished bikes, with thanks to funding from Bristol City Council.
And one of our favourite bits of feedback….
“Thank you so much. I’ve just arrived home (faster than expected) and feel happy as a clam with the new bike. I’m so very grateful. I’ve lived here for 6 years and finally feel I can explore the city easily.”
